Between October 30 and November 11, the city of Sabadell hosted the training camp of the Philippines women’s futsal national team, aimed at preparing for the inaugural FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup 2025, which will take place from November 21 to December 7 in the Asian country. During this period, Sabadell became the team’s main training base, bringing together players from the Philippines as well as Australia, Canada, and the United States.
This training camp, coordinated and managed by Stage Deportivo, has been essential in ensuring optimal preparation conditions and a high-level professional environment. The organization’s work made it possible to coordinate all logistical, sporting, and operational aspects of the project, playing a decisive role in the success of the camp and enabling the team to carry out its work with maximum efficiency.
The organization of the training camp was also made possible thanks to the close connection of the head coach, Rafa Merino —a native of Rubí—, with the sporting environment of the Vallès region. Under his technical leadership, the team carried out an intensive training program at the facilities of Club Natació Sabadell, combining technical, tactical, and physical sessions with activities aimed at strengthening group cohesion.
In the competitive sphere, the team played several preparatory friendly matches, including a notable visit to the Ciudad Deportiva de Las Rozas to face the Spanish national futsal team.
The training camp represented a key step in the team’s preparation ahead of their participation in Group A of the World Cup, where they will face Poland, Morocco, and Argentina.
