THIS WAS THE LAST SUMMER IN STAGE SPORTS
Last summer was such an intense period that we still don’t know where to start. From the organization of the Pirineos Cup football and basketball tournaments, through various summer camps in July, and ending with the preseason of several national and international clubs.
Without a doubt the strongest thing for us was the organization of Pirineos Cup, with 103 basketball teams and 260 football teams, from all over the world, concentrated in 2 weekends at the end of June in 3 countries (Spain, France and Andorra). Every year it is a challenge that we take on with the enthusiasm of someone starting from scratch, and surrounded by an increasingly better human team.
Here we highlight the presence of football clubs such as Liverpool FC, CF Monterrey, Club America, Girona FC, Rayo Vallecano, RCD Espanyol… and basketball clubs such as Joventut Badalona, Barça CBS, Baxi Manresa. In addition, Stage Deportivo organizes the pre-tournament stay of several international football and basketball teams, such as Spor Fabrikasi (Turkey), Haukar Korfubolti (Iceland), Aspire Football Academy (Philippines), EF León Independiente (Mexico), Brick City Ballers (USA), Athletico SC (Lebanon) or Mumbai Kenkre FC (India).
Immediately after the end of the Pirineos Cup, summer camps such as those of DNA Elite, JP Preparation, Club Volley SD Espanyol took place during the month of July, all of them spread across different venues in La Cerdanya and Andorra.
During the month of July and early August we also had the presence of two international clubs. On the one hand, the Andorran first division football team, Atlètic Escaldes, held its UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying round in Llívia. On the other hand, we welcomed the artistic gymnastics club Fimleikadeild Ármanns, from Iceland, to Barcelona.
Preseason begins!
Several football, basketball, handball and volleyball clubs started their pre-season training sessions at the end of August and beginning of September. We have several locations in the Pyrenees, Costa Daurada and Costa Brava.
Special mention and thanks to those clubs that continue to trust us to organize their preseason stage every year: EF Premier Barcelona, Elisabeth Esports, CV Premià de Dalt, Basket Esplugues and Club Handbol Esplugues.
And finally, we would like to welcome you and also thank those who organised it for the first time: CE La Salle Bonanova, Sabadell BQ Vallès, UE Castelldefels, EE Guineueta and CV Esplugues.
We sincerely hope to meet again later this year and continue to walk this path together, hand in hand with our favourite sport.
